The show at Offenbach had barely closed its doors when international racing resumed in Italy. The choice to start the 2015 season early was a mixed success entries trays of just over 100 drivers in the two WSK Champions Cup rounds at La Conca, KZ2 had to be cancelled due to the lack of competitors. As for the Vega International Trophy scheduled for mid-January at Adria, the entry list was a long way from reaching a significant level. The 240 entered for the 20th Winter Cup at Lonato is very reassuring for the rest of the season.

Anyway, now Nicklas Nielsen is a Tony Kart official driver he could well be the man to beat this year in KF. Karol Basz appears to be one of his most serious rivals, though others (Verschoor, Andersen, Bale...) are not far away. In KF-Junior, two names are ahead of the pack for now: Christain Lundgaard and Logan Sargeant.

The tyre war will not take place solely on the track in 2015. For the first time, Vega is the exclusive supplier of tyres for all of the WSK Promotion events. In the past, the CIK-FIA choice of tyres was also observed in the WSK. The Winter Cup will be fully run on Bridgestone, especially as it is the first of the three rounds of the Bridgestone Supercup.

Meanwhile, in the US, the Florida Winter Tour has successfully opened a new page of its history passing into the hands of MaxSpeed Entertainment, a division of the North American Rotax importer who has joined with Tonykart in organising the Rok Cup USA. Several leading European drivers were fighting for victory in DD2 at Homestead.
